A Martha's Vineyard Cheesery small grazing board, full of cheese, charcuterie, and accompaniments

Welcome to Martha’s Vineyard Cheesery!

Hello dear cheese loving friends, I’m glad you’re here! This is sure to be an interesting endeavor, and I’m so happy that you’re here to follow along. When my husband Alex and I washed ashore on Martha’s Vineyard during the summer of 2020, we could have never imagined what this island had in store for us.

As it would turn out, there is a magical energy on this island. Anyone who has spent even a modicum of time here knows it. Martha’s Vineyard is home to artists, creators, makers. I’ve found entrepreneurs, activists, doers. There are farmers, foodies, entertainers. It seems like everywhere I look, I uncover someone that is doing truly inspiring work.

I wanted to be a part of it. An unprecedented amount of time cooped up at home (thanks quarantine!) had me daydreaming like a wild woman. How could I fit? Is there a place for me? Could I dive headfirst into this incredible island community? How can I celebrate, elevate, and amplify all of the amazing creative ventures that are already happening here? Is there a way that I can do all these things but also eat a lot of insanely delicious cheese along the way? My daydreams became too loud to ignore; it was time for me to take some action. And just like that, the idea for Martha’s Vineyard Cheesery was born.

My mission is simple – I want to create beautiful charcuterie arrangements featuring local cheeses and artisanal meats. I want to celebrate local makers and encourage memorable island experiences. I believe there is a lot of power in the act of gathering, and if people choose to gather around one of my charcuterie arrangements, it would be a true honor.

I hope you’ve also taken some time to dream big recently. I hope you’ve realized what’s most important to you. I hope you’ve made plans to achieve some wild goals. I hope we all have lots to celebrate this year. I hope we’ll celebrate by eating lots of delicious cheese.

More soon, friends!
